Darryl Goddard's Class of 1964 Graduation Picture
Here is the photo that is in my yearbook from Camarillo High School taken in August of 1963 before I moved back to San Diego and attended Grossmont the last half of my senior year. If anyone will remember me, this is how I looked at that time.
I only attended Grossmont during the first half of my freshman year and the
last half of my senior year. I am, therefore, not in the yearbook and most alumni
have either never heard of me or would not remember me.
My parents moved up to Camarillo (Ventura County) at the beginning of 1960 and
moved back to San Diego at the beginning of 1964, so although I spent three
years at Camarillo High School and am in their yearbook, I wound up graduating
from Grossmont where only a few students remembered me from three years earlier
and not graduating from Camarillo where everyone knew me.
A hard lesson learned for anyone with high school aged children - if at all
possible, do not move them during their high school years.
One alumni who does know me rather well is Terry Smith, as we both lived in
the same neighborhood and both went to 8th grade at Spring Valley Jr. High prior
to Grossmont. You may remember him beyond his yearbook photo as his was a big,
tall blond guy with a mellow personality.
We kept in touch after college, both wound up in similar positions with different
companies within the insurance industry and both survived several relocations
across the nation.
I lost contact with Terry several years ago when he was living in Jacksonville,
Florida. The last contact I had from his was an e-mail using his personal handle
(SmithBruno) which is now inactive.
Can anyone offer any assistance for me to get back in touch with Terry?
